AI Agents Are Getting Wallets — Cloudflare's Move Into Agent Payments

Cloudflare just launched Wallets for AI agents — giving agents their own stablecoin balances with programmable per-payment limits and merchant whitelists, built on the x402 payment protocol. Translation: AI agents can now pay for things on your behalf, with rules around it.

Why agents need wallets

An agent that can act eventually needs to transact — buy an API call, pay for data, book a service. Until now that meant handing it your card, which is terrifying. A dedicated wallet with hard limits is the safer answer: the agent can spend, but only within fences you set.
