On August 20, 2026, Google's A2A (Agent-to-Agent) protocol joined the Linux Foundation-directed Agentic AI Foundation — the same neutral home as Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP). Agent interop is getting real, vendor-neutral standards.
